I upgraded to it from KDE 4.6 RC2, nice speedup and easy on the memory.

Anyone knows if they finished porting all the addons?

Any chance of a visual overview or some screen shots in your next Xfce article?

Last time I ran Xfce was on an original modded Xbox although I didn't really like the UI

Any miller columns in Thunar? I have Dolphin installed but it takes a while to start because it has to load a different GUI library and it doesn't feel right in gnome (despite the global menu integration).

support for browsing remote shares from the Thunar file manager
Finally! I really like Thunar's simplicity, but without this feature it was just not up to par with the other file managers.

I've just upgraded my Arch Linux install from Xfce 4.6 to 4.8... what to say, it's slick and blazingly fast -- even faster than 4.6! The support for network shares in Thunar is a more than welcome addition.

I like Thunar myself, and getting its feature set on a par with other well known file managers without adding unnecessary bloat is a good thing.

If you mean the panel plugins, they didn't, but they look close to finish it.
