    So debian is making delta debs now?

    Sounds something like what Fedora has done with deltarpms.

      Not even close to delta rpm, also the blog is misleading as you still need to dick around with debian/rules if your build system is not supported by deb helper.

        2013? And he can name a month in 2013 as if he knows when it will be ready?

        Either that was sarcastic, or a call for more help to speed it up (Canonical, AHEMMMM), or this guy has a rigorous daily routine where he gives himself exactly 15 minutes to write code...

          So not interested in distro-specific and thus proprietary packaging formats. At all.

          Wake me up when the Linux community stops being idiotic and decides to promote the Linux platform as a whole with cross-distro formats and, you know, real standards that will become adopted by the major software projects existing today.

          If this was a packaging format that could work with both the rpm and apt managers, THEN that'd be something to get excited about.
