I swear WCCFT is worse than fudzilla back in the day. Just throwing shit at the wall and see what sticks. Though this article seems to actually have a reliable source. In any case i'd expect Zen to be a Q4 2016 product. I'd also like to remind people that Cannon Lake has been delayed to 2017 and Intel will release a Devils Canyon style rehash in 2016 called Kaby Lake. So plenty of time for AMD to get Zen out. I'm guessing it will actually compete with Skylake-E on the server front on release.

That was a pretty good read. It actually does answer one question I had. It seems like the cache system is using new cells. I suspect they are probably the same cells samsung uses, which seem to be decent. At least those cells have a good density. Just speculation on my part, but this article seems to validate it.

Interesting. The last I had heard from the rumour mill I had read online recently was that Global foundries may miss Q4 2016 hence AMD considering TSMC and the 16nm process.

Why not Samsung?!

In an absolute pie-in-the-sky best-case scenario Zen is a late 2016 launch and when it comes to parts that consumers will buy, it's almost certainly a 2017

He intended to quit from the beginning. When he was hired, he made the statement that this would be his last journey. In other words, he's pretty much retired from processor design, and AMD hired him just to produce this one design.

Full year of revenue means, that in 2017 they will sell Zen all year long -- at least that's how I understand that sentence.
