Cool. But the person in question should still write a better alternative to systemd if they feel so strongly. Alternatively if they lack the required skill set I hear you can pay money in exchange for coding as a service.

I don't need that, upstart WORKSFORME. No need for new, shiny, unnecessary stuff that will end being abandoned and replaced by new, shiny, unnecessary stuff that will end being abandoned and replaced...

Except Upstart is deprecated and replaced by systemd...

Yea, not a fan of the move. I think what they should have done instead is upgrade the FD.o infrastructure, to at least be on par with the KDE infrastructure (which is really good). That would benefit all the FD.o projects, too.

Was going to post it, really good read...

Wow, someone realized that mailing lists are totally unusable for project management?

                  Did not see that comin'.
Funnliy enough, it works well enough for linux development, mesa and many others... Depends on how you're used to work.
Most people I know who have to use online tools use plugins to other programs to NOT have to go into the browser...

they are not using github software. they are using github service. for example, you are using phoronix service, which also is non-free software
