              gnarl·y –adjective, gnarl·i·er, gnarl·i·est.
              1. gnarled.
              2. Slang. distasteful; distressing; offensive; gross: a comic noted for his gnarly humor.

              And, I'd have to concur- your naming is by and far the most descriptive and fitting one of the bunch for 8.40...
