Am I the only one that feels like the Radeon changes really aren't that exciting? Is more coming, or is the development more focused towards Mesa now?

Why does the kernel/driver have any notion of cursor sizes?

The display (modesetting) code is in the kernel driver.

I'm guessing because the cursor exists in a dedicated graphics buffer and they're just making the size of that buffer bigger?

It still seems odd to me that the concept of a cursor exists any level above the display server.

The "concept" is managed up in the display server, but the *hardware* which realizes that concept is managed by kernel code.

That to me is a huge performance increase for Radeon cards.

Still no fan speed control for radeon... *sigh*
Seems that issue is not top priority.

Feel free to do it yourself or put up a bug bounty on one of the half dozen sites that let you pledge funds for bug fixes or features if you don't have the time or skills yourself to implement it.

If you want something done right ya gotta do it yourself!
