    I don't quite understand why people are so gung-ho about MPX - it's a neat feature, for sure, but what does it really mean for the average desktop user?

      From wikipedia (Multi-Pointer_X), it sounds like it's needed for existing software to be multitouch friendly on handhelds and multitouch tablet PCs. I guess right now applications only work with multiple pointers if they were designed for it.
