      Agreed. While I have no interest in ARM chips myself the more developers we have tuning the MESA stack the better.

              They use quite large number of FOSS projects, and they certainly will want to have something that they want to have control on, instead of binary blobs.

                Things like the LLVM compiler cache is low-hanging fruit and should be implemented more. Being able to compile shaders at program startup or level, save file loading would be ideal. Max performance while playing, using and more time to optimize shaders while starting up, initializing, loading level/file.

                  While we are dreaming it would be great to see Valve throw a dev at Mesa to help improve the Linux driver stack. This would help show their commitment to Linux.
