my last try with an hd5670 fail completely.

i think the r600g radeon driver is much better on hd4000 cards than hd5000 cards-.
It is, or at least was, working fine on my 5670. Do file bug reports.

the first before filling a bug report i should retest it.

because my test is a bit old.

        Package Tags

Forgive my stupidity, but what's the difference between the ~m/~n tags on the package names?

              Some updates

              xf86-video-ati
              • Llano support, r600 KMS Color Tiling enabled by default

              mesa
              • Llano support, r600g improvements, anisotropic filtering extension for softpipe
              • Re-enabled shared glapi now that bug #36282 is fixed
              • I am now compiling mesa with -Os rather than -O2. With some quick tests I didn't noticed any performance drops and it provides much smaller binaries (I may get back to -O2 if someone finds problems).
              • also note that vdpau/xvmc are currently disabled since pipe-video branch conflicts with master branch (I'll re-enable once this is fixed)

              libdrm
              • updated to 2.4.26

                Weird Error with radeon driver.

Specs: Mobile Radeon HD 5870 on Linux Mint 11 with Linux 2.6.39 from ppa.

Anyone else getting this? This is a 32bit program using ia32libs.

                  Maybe it's this bug: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=38270

By now everyone should have moved to Ubuntu 11.04 (natty). Since maintaining packages for older Ubuntu 10.10 (maverick) requires some extra time, unless someone is really interested (i.e. can support it with a generous donation ) I'll no longer update them.

Yeah, I'm still searching a ppa with updated ia32-libs, unfortunately I still didn't found one
Even gentoo doesn't still have a viable solution to get latest 32 bit graphical stack (the ebuilds from multilib-overlay are quite old and do not work anymore).

How are the intel drivers compared to them shipped with ubuntu 11.04?
I have a lot of problems with unity and the intel drivers, like tv-out does not work etc.

                          Rebuild ia32-libs and mesa

Blah, the ia32-libs and mesa-32bit were the problem. A rebuild on both helped immensely. Thanks!

Which problem do you have exactly? Did you already do a search on fdo bugzilla? https://bugs.freedesktop.org/query.cgi

i do have some kind of bugs.. for exampel in heroes of newerth all runs perfekt but if chronos turns on the time-hold-bubble the transparency isn't there there is only withe normaly there should be a transparency effekt of the time-hold-shild.

i do have similar transparency bugs in flash the user-menue-bar is goes withe and flickering and you can not go fullscreen or press the play button because you only watch withe there. minimize the browser and resitze it to bull size fix it for a short time.

                                Compiz problems

Is anyone else having problems running compiz since the updates from yesterday? I am also having problems with the xorg-edgers ppa.
