    The Linux 3.16 will support kernel mode-setting on the new Tegra K1 SoC using the Nouveau DRM driver.
    This statement is incorrect: mode-setting is not handled by Nouveau on the Tegra K1. All the display part is managed by TegraDRM which already supports KMS since a while. Nouveau is only used to take advantage of the GPU to render buffers, which can then be displayed by passing them to TegraDRM using DMA-BUF.

    A process that, btw, has just become functional, although it will probably not make it into 3.16:
