Running The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 On An Open-Source Driver

Why was it only running at 705 for the Nvidia blob and not "1006"?

I thought I read somewhere (...was it here?) that there's a bug in the nvidia driver and the clock speed is reported incorrectly.
