  • Tuneup 7950gx2

    Hi
I have a nvidia 7950gx2 with Mandriva 2010.0 and latest nvidia drivers. The problem is I not able to have advantage from multigpu configuration.

    I run unigine-tropics with sli=afr result 20,5fps
    I run unigine-tropics with sli=sfr result 21,5fps
    I run unigine-tropics with sli=no result 24,0fps!!!!!

Why my board run faster without sli or multigpu enabled??!! Or the nvidia drivers always enable two board without editing xorg.conf?

Is better to use "multigpu" or "sli" in xorg.conf?

sli is useless for that card, you have to use multigpu.

With multigpu the result is the same... where is the problem? Without multigpu i have more high performance. Why? I have a q6600@3ghz, the fps is too low for my config? I watched other result of other users and nvidia8800 have the double of my graphic power!

Thanks for help (and excuse for my poor english)

sli is for more than 1 card, multigpu is in theory the same as sli but more chips on 1 card.

SLI is always problematic, why do you think a Win game will not be accellerated until you get a suited SLI profile? I would sell that card and get a faster single gpu card, much less troubles.
