    It Works

    I am 98% sure this is the controller card got I bundled with my Maxtor ATA 133 80 GB hard drive back around 2002. Its not actually branded as Promise, but the hardware is the same. When I first moved to Linux in late 2003, I had to patch the kernel to get this controller card working. However, any recent 2.4 or 2.6 Kernel should have an option to compile with this card's drivers.
